Moldsil

MOLDSIL is a high quality silicone moulding compound developed for the FIBROUS PLASTER AND RESIN CASTING INDUSTRIES. Moulds made from MOLDSIL will give high quality reproduction and a long mould life with virtually no shrinkage and no risk of the plaster ever gripping to the mould surface. MOLDSIL has been designed to be easy to mix by hand with colour-coded components to offer a visual aid to ensure mixing is complete. The two components mix easily and because of it’s low viscosity MOLDSIL can be used without the use of a vacuum chamber. MOLDSIL comes in three grades: slow, fast and very fast, giving you a choice in how quickly you wish to have a finished mould in production. MOLDSIL can also be used with Silastic Thixotropic additive only enabling you to make skin moulds or to mould on site.

There is also softer grade of MOLDSIL available called MOLDSIL SOFT and a harder grade called MOLDSIL HARD.

Repsil T Softener Used to soften Repsil T. Specially formulated to reduce leaching of fluids. Can be added at varying levels, up to 200% of base rubber. The larger the percentage added the slower the setting time; so the addition of 81VF accelerator is recommended to speed up the cure time.

Orange Solvent A safer type of de limonene containing a stabiliser to prevent oxidisation which can be an irritant when in contact with skin. Used as a paint base for diluting 732 or AO7 when painting onto Repsil T Skins.

Reptech AO7 A sealant that when diluted in orange solvent enables you to adhere paints to all types of silicone skins, especially addition cured systems. Ideal where very fast drying times are needed.
